CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning
program for many police academies and tactical operations teams,
military special operations units, champion martial artists,
and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.
Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general,
and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival,
many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average,
punish the specialist.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability
making it the perfect application for any committed individual
regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines
for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters
one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity;
we don’t change programs.
CrossFit Phoenix Fire is a free service for on duty Firefighters who want to do Crossfit workouts.
My name Is Scott Pauly and I am currently a Captain On the Phoenix (AZ) Fire Department, assigned to Ladder-1-C-shift. Crossfit Phoenix Fire is my way of giving back to the Fire Department that has treated me so well for the past 20 years. This a free service for all sworn firefighters. If you need help or have questions call me at the station, 602-262-6301
I am a Crossfit level 2 certified trainer, and owner of Crossfit Phoenix. I also hold certifications in Nutrition, Olympic weightlifting, and gymnastics, and am a trainer for Crossfit Headquarters.
I truly believe that crossfit is unmatched in it's ability to increase work capacity, and more closely resembles the kind of work that we do in the fire service, that any other strength and conditioning program available.
Captain Pauly,
I think that it is awesome that you are able to motivate some of the guys to do CrossFit. They will definitely see the results in all aspects of their careers. Just wanted to tell you that, as I do CrossFit with a select few, as a member of Avondale Fire. Our accomplishments and level of fitness has been taken to a new level.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

I have a question about your club crossfit. I'm a fire fighter in Brighto CO. And just wanted to affiliate our Dept/ with crossfit, because of budgets issued I don't want to spend 2000 g's for the name. My question to you is there a why to affiliate for a non proffit such as us without paying a huge price. Thanks for your time Brad

Hey Scott,
I'm a firefighter/paramedic in canada and I've recently taken on the task of a fitness program for our department. I really want crossfit to be the core of the program, how has your city taken to crossfit in the fire halls? I'm looking to bring in new equipment, a fitness standard, a training for our members any pointers?

Hey Scott, I am a Firefighter with Salem Fire and a crossfitter. I am starting the process of getting people interested at the department. Do you have suggestions on getting started, getting crossfit specific equipment, and reaching 11 stations and 3 shifts? Thank you.

Hi Scott, I new to CrossFit and will be travelling to see my son in October - what are your 'drop-in' fees - I would probably only be in 1, maybe 2 days while ther. Thanks. Beth

Hey Capt. Paul,
My name is mike and I am a Captain at Salt River Fire Department here in the valley. I met you and Alisha briefly at the level 1 cert at Mesa Fire in 2007. Hey I was wondering how you affiliated PFD and what fees were associated with the process. Our wellness team is aggressively pursuing affiliation for SRFD, so any information would be appreciated. Thanks for your help, Mike

It's not that I'm afraid to die, I just don't want to be there when it happens.

I wouldn't mind dying - it's the business of having to stay dead that scares the shit out of me.

No mention of God. They keep Him up their sleeves for as long as they can, vicars do. They know it puts people off.
