This is the first post on this blog.....finally!! Hope you check it out. I'm going to be logging my progress to get 140kg overhead. So far it has been an interesting journey, a few injuries( hand and wrists) nothing major, lots of frustrations, and a lot of strength Pr's. Actually my real goal is to clean and jerk 140kg's. So fat I have cleaned 120kg's, Front Squatted 140 kg's, and Jerked( from the front) 125kg's. If I stay injury free I'm confident that I'll be able to accomplish this goal. On to training, I'll follow what is posted on Mike's Gym or Catalyst, with some short met-con 3 days a week. Nutrition is Paleo, no weighing or measuring. Weight is up to 205lbs. I'm 44 years old.
Workout was:
Back Squat x3 x5 145kg
Clean pulls 120kg x2x3
Clean deadlifts 135kgx3, 145kgx3
Push Press 5, 5, 4, 3, 3 (can't remember weight)
Met-con
21 deadlifts(105kg)
42 double-unders
15 Deadlifts
30 double-unders
9 deadlifts
18 double-unders
Time was 5:02 slow but not bad since I really have only been doing strength for 3 months, really I'm just glad I can still do double-unders.
Just saw this, good stuff...Keep em comin Pauly. Why no weighing or measuring with the diet?
